The Japanese wax bell (Kirengeshoma palmata, Chinese 黄山梅, Huangshan méi) is one of two species of the genus Kirengeshoma, which belongs to the family of hydrangea plants.
Features
The Japanese wax bell is a perennial, herbaceous plant, plant height 60-80, achieved, in part to 120 centimeters. The plant forms a rhizome. The leaves are opposite, tall and round.
The leaf blade is lobed and divided, its base is cordate. The lower and middle leaves are stalked, the upper sitting.
The flowers are nodding and on long stalks in loose cymes arranged in terminal wenigblütigen the leaves outstanding instincts.
There are five sepals present. The five petals are light yellow or yellow-growing, thick and 2.5 to 3.5 (rarely to 4) inches long.
Stamens are 15 available. The style is free. The flowering period is in August and September.
